We here at SWCP are continuously working to improve our web hosting platform. As you know we recently made a big push to get all customers moved to the second generation of our web platform (“webfarm2”). The change was challenging for some sites, but the payoff in faster hardware and more up-to-date (read: secure) software is worth it.
One area we want to improve is in keeping everyone completely updated regarding the state of the hosting system. Occasionally this has bitten us, when a necessary security update causes a compatibility problem with a web site. It also means that people are sometimes unaware of new features we make available.
The idea of this blog is to fix that problem. We’ll post messages about changes, improvements, or problems with the hosting system. We will try to make the information available before it affects you, so you have time to make adjustments, ask questions, etc.
